About me
I am Rob Wolfram, a Linux sysadmin with a special interest in computer security, cryptography and cryptocurrencies. I've been working in IT since 1993 and as a Unix and Linux sysadmin since 1997. Before that I've been working in law enforcement (the Forensics/CSI department).
I consider myself a Bitcoin maximalist, meaning that I think that all other cryptocurrencies will not play a significant role in the cryptocurrency environment in the long run. That includes Ethereum. I have another blog site in Dutch that tries to introduce newbies to what Bitcoin is and how it can be used.
Some other interests of mine are astronomy and cosmology, (molecular) biology, philosophy, religion (assuming the null hypothesis) and free software. Clearly, quite a broad spectrum. By now I've witnessed three total solar eclipses (one of which was behind a thick pack of clouds) and by now I consider myself a Solar Eclipse Chaser. I hope to witness three more in the next 10 years, i.e. Argentina or Chile 2020, U.S.A 2024 and Southern Spain 2027.
